Central to our vision is RISE—Relief, Integration, Self-sufficiency, and Empowerment. This framework guides our work in creating long-term positive change for refugees and immigrants in King County, Washington. Through RISE, we help individuals gain the tools and support they need to rebuild their lives and become active, contributing members of society.
Key to our efforts is the focus on mental health. Through informal support mechanisms like healing circles and destressing activities such as sports and social gatherings, we provide vital emotional support to our community members. Additionally, we are committed to community education, partnering with local authorities to address environmental hazards like lead and PFAS, ensuring newcomers live in safe, healthy surroundings.
RPNW also prioritizes youth resiliency, providing mentorship and guidance to refugee youth navigating the complexities of higher education and healthcare systems. Our initiatives help prepare the next generation of refugees to succeed, ensuring they can thrive in their new lives and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
